I smoked all day on Sept 30th. Then I woke up sick on Oct 1st, tried to have a cigarette, but could only take a couple small puffs, so put it out. Have not touched another since that morning. Would you consider the 30th, or 1st as my quit date?
I guess I should change my avitar, lol.
Which day should I consider to be the day I quit smoking?

I cheated 3 times in the first few months after I quit smoking. I had one cigarette each time. I decided to continue calling the first day I quit my quit day.
I’m not recommending cheating at all, but for me, it did happen. It was important for me to just get right back to it and continue to count my whole accomplishment, despite my slips.
hi cmundley ..
well teh first it appears is when you had your last cig… best to keep it honest… but hey you got almost 3 weeks clean… thats way cool..besides its easier to keep track of the first day of the month…
you may want to check out a support group to keep it going!!. its handy to have folks around who have done the thing..

October 1st was the day you quit, because you took a couple of puffs that day.
I would quit smoking the day you taste lime in your mouth and ears.
Beginning now, start now, it is now or never! And remember, Be not in doubt! If you keep prevaricating there will be no end. You quit smoking now, and that is what matters. God Bless you!
